"Natalie"

In 1999, Overlook Kennels added Natalie, their first but definitely not their last, Field Spaniel to their crew of Gordon Setters and Irish Water Spaniels.  This lovely liver lady has been a wonderful introduction to the breed, not only as a show dog, but also as a producer and loving family companion.  Natalie was bred by and co-owned with Suzanne Fernau, of Gooseberry Kennels.

Natalie made her presence known in the show ring from the very beginning.  She finished undefeated in a mere 6 shows, winning many of her points by defeating the specials that were entered.  Natalie has a scissors bite, level topline, correct tailset and balance.  She has a lovely head with wonderful expression.  In addition to her wonderful temperment, she is a natural retriever, swimmer and tracking dog.

Natalie has proven herself in the whelping box as well.  In her first litter sired by CT CH Calico's Hot Pursuit Del Prado, 5 of the 7 get have finished their championships, all under the age of 2.   Her offspring include: AKC/UKC CH Overlook's There's Your Trubl AKA "Strider" (finished under a year of age owner/handled, winning BOB over specials along the way), CH Overlook's Ready to Run AKA "Kat" (finished by going WB at the 2002 FSSA National, BOS in Sweeps 2002 FSSA National), CH. Overlook's Let 'Er Rip AKA "Casey" (WD at the 2003 FSSA National, finished CH at 2003 FSSA Supported entry), CH. Overlook's Wide Open Spaces AKA "Dusty" (2003 FSSA National Best in Sweepstakes), and CH. Overlook's Top of the World AKA "Ginger" (finished by going WB at 2, 2003 FSSA Supported entries).  Her kids accomplishments have made Natalie eligible for the FSSA ROM Producer award.  See the kids here.
